When you arrive at the Birth Center to have your baby, you will settle into one of our private (LDRP-Labor, Delivery, Recovery and Post-Partum) suites that make you feel right at home. Each suite is complete with a private bathroom and shower, personal sink and vanity, TV and DVD player, Wi-Fi internet access, and sleeper sofas to accommodate partners who wish to stay overnight.
Family centered care was recently enhanced by RAMC Foundation support - two private rooms will now each have a queen sized bed, to provide a restful recovery for mother and her family.
Since 2003 RAMC has been one of the only area hospitals to offer water births. Because birth is special, Reedsburg Area Medical Center’s Birth Center believes in the importance of personal birth plans and is pleased to offer the water birthing option to expectant parents!
All rooms are equipped with whirlpool labor tubs or showers. We also have one room with a handicapped accessible shower. Ready-when-you-are dining service, massage therapy and interpreter services are also offered. You will receive a package of personal items for both you and your baby, which are yours to keep when you return home.
Also located in the Birth Center is a family waiting room with toys, television and DVD/VCR, a refreshment center, a Lactation Specialist/Breastfeeding area, a Surgical Suite and a nursery.
And, once your baby arrives we want to help you celebrate! New moms in our Birth Center can invite a guest to an elegant post-birth private celebration meal served in their room – complete with thoughtfully prepared menu choices, linen table service and a chilled bottle of sparkling juice!
