RAMC Community Investment
Investing in Our Community - 2015
With today’s economy, it can be a hardship for area residents to afford everyday necessities, let alone medical insurance. At Reedsburg Area Medical Center, we believe everyone deserves access to quality health care, regardless of their income level. We also believe that being a non-profit medical center is both a privilege and an obligation. Every day we strive to be a leader in community health. By meeting, and often exceeding that expectation, RAMC is strengthening our relationship with patients, visitors and neighboring communities. Being a community partner is an awesome but important task, one we feel privileged to uphold.
A Helping Hand to our Neighbors in Need ~ RAMC’s Charity Care program helps 300-400 patients annually by paying a portion of or all of their medical bills. Charity Care is for patients who do not have health insurance and do not qualify for Medicare or other government-funded programs. The total unreimbursed costs of Medicare & Medicaid equaled $8,653,980 while Bad Debt totaled $818,094.
Financial & In-kind Contributions ~ We feel privileged to actively support a large number of different community groups by donating goods and services, contributing equipment, supplies and paid personnel, loaning equipment or providing use of facility space. In-kind support provided to community groups totaled $753.807 for 2015.
