Reedsburg Area Medical Center is proud to offer a team-based model for obstetrics delivery! This means our compassionate and skilled obstetrics team shares your birth plan to provide
personalized, top-notch care for the delivery of your baby!
You choose a primary OB provider who will be your main provider as you progress through your pregnancy. When you arrive to deliver your baby, the on-call member of the provider team will care for you. This provider will work with our Birth Center team to navigate your unique needs and provide safe and compassionate care.

Personalized Pregnancy and Birth Plan

At Reedsburg Area Medical Center, we strive to balance our patients’ medical needs and their individual wishes. We’ll be with you every step of the way, from the start of your pregnancy to after your baby is born, providing you with professional advice and personal support.

We offer pregnant women regular health check-ups, diagnostic tests, nutritional guidance, and mental health support, ensuring their well-being before, during, and after childbirth.

4th trimester support groups meet the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 10:30a-12:00p in the birth center.

Family Practice & Midwife Team
Our OB/GYN Physicians
RAMC is unique in that we also have OB/GYN physicians who are available for consultation and collaboration with your primary OB provider if the need arises. These providers include Dr. Paula Hobson, Dr. Christine Trautman and Dr. Ben Nesseim, who is a Family Practitioner with fellowship training. OB consults may be recommended if you have high blood pressure issues, diabetes, or other pregnancy complications. These providers also perform C-sections and manage vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC) delivery.
Women’s Health Nurse Navigator
Our Women’s Health Nurse Navigator at RAMC Physicians Group is the main point-of-contact to provide guidance, support and care coordination for obstetric and gynecologic patients. The Nurse Navigator collaborates with providers, hospital staff, outside facilities and community resources to support patient care.
