Reedsburg Area Medical Center is proud to announce that they have received a five star rating, the highest possible rating, from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) as part of its 2024 Five-Star Rating System. Nationwide, only 381 or approximately 8.2% of the 4,658 hospitals rated by CMS nationwide earned a five-star rating, the highest rating possible.
The Overall Hospital Quality Star Rating (Overall Star Rating) are based on 46 hospital quality measures that CMS publically reports. These measures are: mortality, safety of care, readmission, patient experience and timely and effective care. These ratings are designed to assist patients, consumers and others in comparing hospitals side-by-side. Hospitals can receive between one and five stars. Five stars indicates the highest rating and this is a measurement of consistent quality of care.
“I have said many times,” comments Bob Van Meeteren, RAMC President/CEO, “I work among the best of the best and this recognition is a testament to this. The skills, compassion, teamwork and dedication that each and every team member exhibits every single day never goes unnoticed and is always appreciated. I am proud of everyone and could not be more pleased to be part of this incredible team.”
