RAMC Viking Pharmacy Wins WPQC Innovation Award!

Reedsburg Area Medical Center Viking Pharmacy is excited to announce their recent award from the Wisconsin Pharmacy Quality Collaboration (WPQC)!

RAMC Viking Pharmacy won the WPQC Innovation award. The team at Viking Pharmacy, located inside Viking Village Foods, rose to the occasion to participate in two cardiovascular disease pilots coordinated by the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin (PSW) and Wisconsin Education Association (WEA) Trust. The data from their pilot will be published this year by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention!

Says Tiaha McGettigan, Reedsburg Area Medical Center Viking pharmacist, “RAMC Viking Pharmacy has been fortunate to work with WPQC and WEA over the past few years. This partnership created opportunities for pharmacists to help people living right here in our communities. Not only were we able to equip people with the tools and knowledge necessary to monitor their own conditions at home, we were also able to empower individuals to take control of their own health. Our work together has facilitated pharmacy innovation while still allowing pharmacists to build strong relationships with patients.”
