Reedsburg Area Medical Center offers both inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services. This includes 24/7 hospital coverage through in-house and remote pharmacy services, ambulatory care embedded directly in our primary care clinic, and two outpatient pharmacies.
Residents will gain competencies primarily through longitudinal learning experiences designed to provide them a broad knowledge base critical for rural pharmacy practice.
Note: Other elective learning experiences may be developed based on resident interest and preceptor availability
Residents will gain a comprehensive overview of rural healthcare, spending time in various areas of the health system including:
Residents will also have project days scheduled at least once a month and will also work on small projects relevant and interesting to the many areas they are embedded in. This include journal clubs, topic discussions, diabetes interdisciplinary care meetings, drug utilization reviews, population health projects, and others.
