COVID-19 Vaccines at RAMC

COVID-19 vaccinations are a welcomed gift at Reedsburg Area Medical Center and the timing could not be more fitting! Christmas Eve day, following CDC and FDA guidelines to vaccinate healthcare personnel as part of this first phase, RAMC began vaccinating its healthcare team members. 

Jennifer Horkan, Director of Respiratory Therapy is pictured, receiving the very first COVID-19 vaccine in Reedsburg, being given by retired registered nurse Beverly Hoege. RAMC is grateful that Beverly generously offered to organize a group of retired registered nurses to lead the administration of this important vaccine.

It is expected that tenants and residents of Reedsburg Area Senior Life Center will begin receiving the vaccine the first week of January.

As a reminder, the COVID-19 vaccine is not expected to be widely available to the general public until mid-2021. As we have updates, count on Reedsburg Area Medical Center to communicate with our patients and communities.
