Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a technique in which practitioners stimulate specific points on the body—most often by inserting thin needles through the skin. It is one of the practices used in traditional Chinese medicine.

“I had been suffering with sciatica pain due to arthritis for a while. I had heard about acupuncture at RAMC and decided to give it a try, as a last ditch effort when nothing else seemed to help. Scheduling an appointment with Corey was very easy, and he set my mind at ease during the procedure. I felt so much relief from the pain within the first two sessions, and I’ve experience no further episodes. I’m so happy acupuncture worked, and if my pain ever returns, I will know exactly where to go… and I won’t wait so long next time!” – Jan K.
"I have struggled with anxiety, depression, and sleep issues, so when a family member told me about her experience with acupuncture and said it could help me, I decided to schedule an appointment with Corey Schultz at RAMC. It was super easy to make the appointment, and when I met Corey, he immediately put me at ease. He is so amazing and awesome to work with, and made me feel comfortable from the very first moment. Not only did he treat my anxiety, depression and sleep issues, but he even was able to help with my knee pain. I have no hesitation in recommending Corey and acupuncture to anyone who needs this service. In fact, I’ve already referred several friends to him. I am so happy I decided to try acupuncture. It really works!” – Amara K.
“Acupuncture has been a God-send. Truly. I had been in chronic pain due to back surgery and had a lot of scar tissue that bothered me. My daily pain level was consistently an 8 or 9. My brother suggested I try acupuncture, so I searched far and wide for the right provider. So many people offer it, but not everyone is qualified. I assure you, Cory is the real deal, and I have zero qualms with him. He is knowledgeable and professional and always answers my many questions about the procedure. From the very beginning, I was not the least bit nervous and knew I was in good hands. Every day I am amazed that the pain has diminished, and I feel improvement after every session. I highly, highly recommend Cory and his acupuncture treatments. I know you will be as impressed with him as I have been.” — Penny S.
“15 years ago I was in an auto accident that damaged my spine. I was in constant pain and found myself falling into a deep depression that was like a black cloud following me everywhere I went. Three years ago I became disabled due to chronic pain and was barely able to leave my bed. I had been seeing Cory for massage therapy, and when he suggested acupuncture I thought, ‘Why not?’ I checked with my insurance through the VA and found they approved acupuncture, so I decided to give it a try. My first session with Cory was in September, and I can’t even tell you what a difference it has made! The pain, while not completely gone, is very much diminished, and the depression has finally lifted. I actually feel chipper! I now have a sense of well-being, and my capabilities have come a long way. Cory is a master and knows exactly where to place the needles to give relief. He is extremely knowledgeable and provides great explanation as to why he inserts the needles where he does. He made the experience comfortable, and I have a lot of confidence in his abilities. Acupuncture has changed in my life, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is hurting. You don’t need to continue suffering. There is help and there is hope. What do you have to lose?” — Kathleen M.
“I am a 69 year old retired man. In my working days, I really messed up my back and was in so much pain. I had two back surgeries, and for years I was getting injections in my spine and going to the chiropractor. Eventually those treatments didn’t help anymore, so I needed to find an alternative to the shots and pain meds I was taking. When I noticed that my insurance covered acupuncture for lower back issues, I decided to give it a try - even though I am deathly afraid of needles. (Thankfully, you never see them coming!) The experience itself is extremely relaxing, and Cory has a great way of explaining what is happening. It’s all very technical, but Cory knows what he’s doing and puts me at ease every time. After each treatment, I feel better. My wife noticed that I am walking straighter, and she says that I am much more pleasant to be around. No more spinal injections, and no more pain killers for me! My only regret is that I didn’t start acupuncture treatments sooner. I don’t know how they work; I just know they do!” — Mike G.
“Because I was dealing with so much pain in my back and neck, I decided to try acupuncture at RAMC. I was skeptical (and more than a little nervous about the needles!) but I was desperate for relief from the pain. When I called to make the appointment, the process was really easy, and I was happy to find out that my insurance covered it. Over the past year I have had about 20 acupuncture treatments and have experienced very good results. Cory is professional and knowledgeable, and he set my fears to rest. My quality of life has improved, and I plan to continue with treatments as needed. I highly recommend acupuncture with Cory at Reedsburg Area Medical Center. It’s definitely worth it!” — Steve P.
