What is a Certified Hand Therapist?
A Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) is an occupational or physical therapist who has a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience and 4,000 hours or more of direct practice in hand and upper extremity (shoulder, elbow, forearm, wrist and hand) therapy. They have passed a national test to become a certified hand therapist and are recertified every 5 years.
