Sleep Medicine at RAMC

March is “Breathe Better, Sleep Better Month” which helps raise awareness of the importance of better breathing for better sleep.

This year, families attending Baraboo’s Jack Young Middle School Family Resource Night had the chance to engage with valuable resources that promise to make summer fun and enriching for their children. One such resource was provided by Alecia Robertson, a Physician Assistant (PA) in the Sleep Medicine department at Reedsburg Area Medical Center (RAMC). Robertson hosted a booth at the event, offering information and insights on sleep health and its impact on children’s development and well-being.

The Family Resource Night, which was free and open to all families at Jack Young Middle School, was designed to help parents and guardians learn about various opportunities to enhance their children’s summer experiences. Whether seeking fun activities, educational programs, or local community connections, the event featured numerous booths and organizations offering a range of ideas and solutions to ensure the summer season is filled with adventure and growth.

Alecia Robertson’s booth focused on sleep health, emphasizing the importance of good sleep habits for kids. As a sleep medicine expert, Robertson provided valuable tips on how proper sleep can improve concentration, mood, and overall well-being, setting the stage for kids to thrive in summer activities and beyond.

Families were also able to learn about the many programs available through RAMC’s Sleep Medicine department, which provides specialized care to help children and adults alike manage sleep disorders. With a goal to educate the community on healthy sleep habits, Robertson’s presence at the event was a perfect opportunity for parents to receive expert advice.

As the summer approaches, it’s essential for families to consider all aspects of their children’s health and well-being. Alecia Robertson’s booth at the Family Resource Night highlighted just one way the community can benefit from the support available at RAMC.

For those who missed the event, there are still plenty of opportunities to connect with the RAMC Sleep Medicine team and explore the resources available for improving sleep health for the whole family. Visit our Sleep Medicine Page at: https://ramchealth.com/services/sleep-medicine/
