“On July 4th, Dr. Tesman went above and beyond to honor a patient’s wish to avoid hospitalization. Understanding and respecting the patient’s preferences, he arranged for the individual to be seen at the walk-in clinic for lab work, despite the regular lab services being closed for the holiday. Dr. Tesman also instructed the walk-in clinic staff to promptly share the lab results with him so he could closely monitor the patient’s condition in real time. He was fully prepared to direct admit the patient to the hospital himself if the lab results indicated it was necessary — even though it was both a national holiday and his scheduled day off. Thanks to Dr. Tesman’s proactive, compassionate, and patient-focused approach, the patient was safely managed at home and avoided hospitalization. His commitment to providing exceptional care, even under challenging circumstances, is a clear example of clinical excellence and dedication to the well-being of those he serves.”
