“I would like to recognize Sandy for going above and beyond in her role to support a patient’s family member who was struggling to understand the cost of medications while their spouse was in the nursing home. Despite the family member having called the inpatient pharmacy multiple times with questions, Sandy took the extra step to ensure they received the clarity they needed. Instead of continuing to provide information over the phone, Sandy arranged a one-on-one meeting and invited the family member to come in and speak with her directly. She patiently walked them through the copay details and helped them understand the medication charges in a clear and compassionate way. This thoughtful and proactive approach not only alleviated the family member’s confusion but also demonstrated Sandy’s commitment to patient-centered care and outstanding customer service.
