Garret Tesman MD

"I was born and raised in the beautiful endless sunshine of Santa Barbara, California. After studying physiology at UCLA, I decided that two decades of constant 70-degree weather was enough and that big cities weren’t for me. I headed to Oregon where I spent a year on the Sheriff’s Search and Rescue team and exploring the back country for fun.

While I enjoyed finding lost hikers, I realized I could do much more for my community as a physician. I went east to attend medical school where both my father and his father trained. The East Coast brought the love of both the seasons and a beautiful scientist who I would marry. We agreed we should find a smaller city with lots of charm to grow our family. Reedsburg is the perfect fit! I’ve always loved the idea of comprehensive family medicine, where you get to follow your patients throughout their lives, make meaningful connections, and help keep a community happy and healthy. I’m so excited to be at RAMC!"

Dr. Tesman is located at RAMC Physicians Group four days a week and at RAMC La Valle Clinic one day a week.
