Reedsburg Area Medical Center is proud to share that we were honored by the Wisconsin Hospital Association (WHA) with the 2026 Excellence in Health Care Quality and Patient Safety Award during their Quality and Patient Safety Awards ceremony on February 4 in Madison.
This award was presented for Improving Patient Safety through Reduction of Blood Culture Contamination and highlights hospitals across Wisconsin that demonstrate innovative approaches to improving care quality, enhancing patient safety, and achieving better health outcomes.
“I am so proud of our team members,” said Dr. Elizabeth Baker, Chief Medical Officer. “We are grateful at RAMC to have so many innovative and compassionate people that share a growth mindset, because you get continuous improvement in the quality of care that we provide. It is wonderful to receive the recognition for the work on this project, and I thank the WHA for creating the opportunity for hospitals to come together to share patient safety initiative work and learn from each other.”
We were honored to celebrate alongside other organizations committed to advancing excellence in health care. Thank you to WHA for recognizing our ongoing dedication and presenting us with this distinguished award.
