Partners of RAMC

History of Partners of RAMC

Reedsburg, healthcare, and Partners of Reedsburg Area Medical Center have evolved over the past forty years. In 1959, 103 women chartered the Reedsburg Memorial Hospital Auxiliary to promote and advance the welfare of the hospital and its patients and to assist the Reedsburg Memorial Hospital in promoting the health and welfare of the community in accordance with objectives established by the hospital’s governing board.

Today, Partners of Reedsburg Area Medical Center with more than 225 men, women, and corporate members, continues the tradition of caring and giving. This proactive and visionary organization focuses on meeting the challenges and opportunities of an ever changing medical complex and a growing community through continued financial support, volunteerism, and education.

As an integral component of the Medical Center, Partners promote activities, services, and the funding of items, which directly benefit patients, residents, visitors, and staff. Partners of Reedsburg Area Medical Center are credited with initiating and supporting a number of unique projects, such as the Medical Center’s chapel, constructed in 1998, which features a handcrafted stained glass window.

Partners of Reedsburg Area Medical Center values the talents and abilities of its members and supports the personal growth of each individual. Participation in the organization’s board, committees, activities and collaborative community events is encouraged.

We invite you to grow with us . . . please consider becoming a volunteer!

Health Careers Scholarships Available!

Scholarship applications for the “Janice Ulrich Nursing Scholarship” and the “Health Careers Non-Nursing Scholarship” given by Partners of Reedsburg Area Medical Center are now available. Those eligible include graduating seniors of area high schools and adults who may be pursuing continuing education in a healthcare field.

When submissions are being accepted, scholarship application forms will be available at the following: high school guidance offices, MATC, the Information Desk in the lobby of RAMC, and on the RAMC website. All applications are due by March 1 of that year. Candidates selected to be interviewed will be contacted by telephone for their interview time. Evaluation and selection of recipients will follow the interview process.
The amounts of the scholarship are as follows:

1. $750 scholarships will be awarded to full-time students (with at least 12 credits) enrolled in programs of four or more years. These scholarships will be paid out in one single payment of $750 at the end of the first academic year, providing a minimum GPA of 2.5 is achieved.

2. $400 scholarships will be awarded to students enrolled in two-year programs. These scholarships will be paid out in one single payment of $400 at the end of the first semester, providing a minimum GPA of 2.5 is achieved.

Funding for the scholarships comes mainly from donations made to the “Tree of Lights” program. This is a year-round effort to memorialize or honor special people in our lives. We would like to thank the community, the Reedsburg Area Medical Center Foundation, and the Reedsburg Area Medical Center Physician’s Group for their generous contributions to the scholarship fund.
