Reedsburg Area Medical Center – Stacey Warneke Receives Statewide Interdisciplinary Care Partner Award

Congratulations to Stacey Warneke, Reedsburg Area Medical Center (RAMC) Advanced Diabetes Management Nurse Practitioner. Stacey was selected as the 2025 recipient of the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin (PSW) Interdisciplinary Care Partner Award!

Stacey was nominated for this distinguished award by the RAMC team of pharmacists who work with her in diabetes care management at RAMC Physicians Group. They describe her as an “exceptional clinician and mentor who brings expertise, patience, and a true spirit of teamwork to every encounter.”

Says Sarah Sorum, PharmD, CAE and Executive Vice President & CEO of the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin, “With Stacey’s leadership and advocacy, pharmacists at RAMC have expanded their scope of practice through collaborative practice agreements that allow them to adjust medications. She further helped empower pharmacists to perform retinal scans and refer patients directly to ophthalmology, closing care gaps and improving early detection of diabetic retinopathy.  Stacey’s creativity and compassion extend to patients as well. She partnered with the pharmacy team to establish a patient assistance program, providing life-changing medications, at no cost to those otherwise unable to afford them, saving patients thousands of dollars each year.”

Life-changing is certainly an attribute reiterated by Teresa Field, Chief Operating Officer at RAMC. “My son was diagnosed at age 15 with Type 1 diabetes,” commented Teresa Field, RAMC Vice President and COO. “Stacey was a life-saver for my son as she guided him throughout the varying courses of managing the disease. I am forever grateful to her and the entire team of diabetes professionals at RAMC.”

This award recognizes a non-pharmacist healthcare professional who exemplifies collaboration, respect and partnership with pharmacy colleagues to improve patient care, of which Stacey Warneke is deserving. Congratulations!
