Welcome to RAMC’s New Year’s Baby!

The Birth Center at Reedsburg Area Medical Center is pleased to welcome their New Year’s baby!

Beau Gordon McCann wasn’t due to arrive until January 20; however, he much preferred being the New Year’s baby, born on January 2! Beau was 6 pounds, 12 ounces, and 20 inches long. Says Beth Adsit, RAMC nurse midwife, “It was a beautiful birth. Beau’s mama was a rock star. So controlled and strong!”

Beth was also celebrating January 2—it was her birthday, and it was her first official birth as RAMC’s newest nurse midwife! Ame Fischer, also a RAMC midwife, was present to support her teammate.

Beau joins siblings Brooklyn, age 7, and Bentley, age 6. Mom Sadie Schieldt and dad Kole McCann, from Lone Rock, chose to deliver at RAMC because of the wonderful experience when Beau’s siblings were born in the RAMC Birth Center.
