RAMC Team Building

Team RAMC participated in a team-building event involving pumpkins. The creative displays by each department were second to none! They are all winners! Every month, each department sponsors a team-building activity for all to enjoy. This is just another example of one of the many reasons RAMC is the best place to work in healthcare!

RAMC Birth Center celebrates National Midwifery Week October 1-7, 2023!

The word ‘midwife’ means with woman.  Midwives are specially trained professionals who care for women from adolescence to beyond menopause.  This includes care and management during pregnancy, labor, and after birth.

We are fortunate to have an amazing midwife on staff at RAMC. Ame Fischer has been with us since 2020. She provides top-notch care to women and has delivered many, many babies.

We are excited to welcome a second midwife in 2024!  Watch for more info to come!

Pictured is Ame Fischer assisting one of her patients who chose to have a water birth.

RAMC Celebrates Pain Awareness Week

September is Pain Awareness month.  During the week of September 3-9, 2023 RAMC will be offering an educational display for the public in the lobby of the hospital.

Pain is a personal experience that is influenced by many factors such as sleep, genetics, stress, attitudes/beliefs, personality, behaviors, disability, coping abilities, and socialization, to name a few.  Although pain usually serves an adaptive role, it may have adverse effects on well-being.

Reedsburg Area Medical Center’s Bob Van Meeteren Receives AHA Grassroots Champion Award

Every year, one individual in each state is honored as a “Grassroots Champion” by the American Hospital Association (AHA) in consultation with state hospital associations. This year, WHA nominated Reedsburg Area Medical Center’s President and CEO, Bob Van Meeteren, to receive the AHA Grassroots Champion Award for his service and efforts.

Van Meeteren regularly participates in WHA grassroots advocacy initiatives, including responding to Hospitals Education & Advocacy Team (HEAT) Action Alerts, attending WHA’s Advocacy Day in Madison, and making trips to Washington, D.C. for Capitol Hills. Van Meeteren is also active in the Wisconsin Hospitals State PAC & Conduit, personally contributing to the program, explaining the importance of this type of advocacy to others, and engaging with candidates through special events.

Governor Tony Evers Visits Reedsburg Area Medical Center!

Reedsburg Area Medical Center welcomed Wisconsin’s Governor Tony Evers for an on-site visit today. Governor Evers learned about our medical campus and, more specifically, RAMC Physicians Group. RAMC has a strategic vision to meet the growing demand for behavioral health, women’s health, primary care, and retail pharmacy. Part of this vision is planning for a new clinic building. We are proud of our well-thought-out plan to address the unmet needs as our commitment to our communities today and well into the future. A new clinic will aid us in our recruitment efforts as well as we continue to grow and expand.

Thank you, Governor Evers, for your time in Reedsburg and with Reedsburg Area Medical Center!

RAMC Celebrates National Donate Life Month

Reedsburg Area Medical Center has a long history of supporting organ, tissue, and eye donation.

To celebrate National Donate Life Month, we joined dozens of other hospitals and organizations earlier today for Pause to Give Life, a nationwide flag-raising ceremony and moment of silence. This remarkable event honors donors and their families while raising awareness of the need for organ, tissue, and eye donors. It elevates the importance of registering your donation decision on the Wisconsin donor registry.
