“Recently we had a patient that had developed debilitating pain. They were unable to access other systems for assistance, so he contacted the WWC. Our one provider was on vacation camping and Kelin was not scheduled to work. But for Kelin, the patient comes first. Even though Kelin was sometimes at the park with her kids she was taking or making phone calls. Or she was staying up after the kids went to bed to log into our EMR and review charts. She was contacting the patient on her time off, ordering medications, and meeting the patient’s needs as much as she could. She also was willing to review and sign charts from home to make sure a large employer didn’t have a disruption in their services as well. Kelin, epitomizes what it means to meet the patient or customer needs. This is not just because it is her job, this is because this is who Kelin is.”
