We are proud to announce this quarter’s DAISY Award and PETALS Award winners at Reedsburg Area Medical Center (RAMC)!
DAISY Award Winner: Bretta Oakes, RN, Emergency Department – November 19, 2024

“Bretta was a fantastic nurse to my aunt who was in the emergency room in November. She answered all of our family’s questions and checked on us throughout the morning. Even though our aunt was there for not-so-great circumstances, Bretta made our experience a little better. Bretta was very friendly, patient, and took good care of my aunt. She kept us updated on the plan of care and took our questions/concerns seriously. She made an unfortunate situation a little more tolerable for our family. She is a great nurse, and any patient would be lucky to have her.”
PETALS Award Winner: Amanda Ozelis, LMT, Massage Therapy – January 2, 2025

“I am honored to share why Amanda is so incredibly deserving of the Petals Award. Each month, I drive nearly an hour just to receive a massage from her, and it’s not because I can’t find a closer option—it’s because Amanda’s touch is unmatched. I’ve had massages from other therapists, even from high-end, expensive places like Sundara Spa, but nothing compares to the way Amanda works her magic. She has a unique ability to not only relieve pain but also to bring about a level of relaxation that others simply cannot. Every single time I leave her session, I feel like I’ve received more than just a massage. I feel rejuvenated—both in body and spirit. Amanda gives 100% of herself every time she works on me, and I can only imagine how much she gives to everyone she encounters.
What truly sets Amanda apart is the way she pours herself into her work. I believe she gives a piece of herself to each person she touches, and that kind of selflessness must take a toll on her, yet she still shows up each day with a joy that radiates from her. It’s rare to find
someone who combines such skill with such warmth and compassion, and Amanda does this with ease. I’m not sure if her exceptional abilities are rooted in her extensive training across multiple healing disciplines, but one thing is for certain—Amanda has the touch. Whether it’s through her expert massage techniques or the calming, non-invasive healing of Reiki, she possesses a gift that is truly extraordinary.
Imagine what could happen if Amanda could share her knowledge and teach others to offer the same kind of care and healing she does. It would take massage therapy to an entirely new level, not just for relaxation, but for deep, lasting healing.
Reedsburg Medical Center is fortunate to have a goldmine in Amanda, and I’m grateful every time I walk through her door. She is, without question, a true gem deserving of recognition for her remarkable skill, heart, and dedication
