New clinic expands family medicine, pediatrics, women’s health, diabetes care, behavioral health, Community Pharmacy and Walk-In Care clinic
.Reedsburg, WI – Reedsburg Area Medical Center (RAMC) officially cut the ribbon for the new, replacement Physician’s Group Clinic on Monday, February 10, 2025. Dozens of donors, local leaders and medical center staff gathered to celebrate. The new clinic is located on the corner of Ridgeview Drive and 19th Street in Reedsburg and houses family medicine, pediatrics, women’s health, diabetes care, behavioral health, walk-in care and the Community Pharmacy.
“This milestone was only achieved through the hard work of dozens upon dozens of individuals in our organization,” Teresa Field, Chief Operating Officer said. “This project was just an idea two years ago and was brought to life by the hard work of our amazing team. Every person working on this project treated it as if it was their own home. It was obvious that everyone involved wanted to create an environment that would serve our patients well for years to come. I personally want to say thank you for their dedication and commitment.” The new, replacement Physician’s Group Clinic was constructed to meet the rapidly rising demand in the community as the population continues to grow. It includes family medicine, pediatrics, diabetes care, women’s health, behavioral health, Community Pharmacy and the Walk-In clinic.
“Reedsburg is one of the few, growing rural communities in Wisconsin,” Bob Van Meeteren, President & CEO said. “This project is a direct response to the needs of our community. It was not a great time, financially, to build a new building, but it is the right time to expand in order to take care of the people we serve. We could not have done it without the generosity of donors in our community.”
The RAMC Foundation launched the Here We Grow capital campaign in 2023 to raise funds for the clinic project. Nearly $4 million has been donated by more than 180 donors.
RAMC recruited 10 new providers over the last two years, including family medicine, women’s health and behavioral health. These new providers are located in the new clinic and accepting patients.
The family medicine, pediatrics and women’s health areas of the clinic operate with a unique self-rooming process in which patients check-in and are assigned an exam room. Patients go directly to their room and medical staff are alerted. No more sitting in a busy waiting room.
Behavioral health, located on the upper level, offers a relaxed, friendly environment for patients of all ages to receive care. Each provider has a unique, personalized office to serve their patients.
The Community Pharmacy, located on the ground floor, is available for counter service as well as drive-up service. For drive-up service, patients are welcome to park in one of the spaces on the south side of the building and call the pharmacy to let them know you are there.
In addition, RAMC’s Walk-In Care clinic, located inside of the RAMC Physicians Group Clinic is a popular offering for the communities because it is less costly (most insurances charge an office co-pay) than an urgent care run out of an emergency room, which charges Emergency Room (ER) prices and ER co-pays. The new, Walk-In Care clinic includes six exam rooms, three of which are negative pressure rooms to stop the spread of communicable diseases.
All of the art, located throughout the clinic, features photography of local places in the greater Reedsburg community. Visitors will find images of pastures, Plenke’s Pond, Nishan Park, sunflowers, bike riding, playful dogs and even a friendly goat. The Physician’s Group Clinic is open Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
The Walk-In Clinic is open Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., Saturday-Sunday 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. and holidays 9am – 5pm. The Community Pharmacy is open Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 1:40 – 6 p.m. To make an appointment, please call 608-524-6477 or use your MyChart app.
